Favorite part about working with ATOM:
“I really enjoy meeting and working with the clinical evaluators across sites. Training provides a unique opportunity to learn from others while also getting to share some of my own experiences. It’s been a wonderful way to grow the field of PTs and other allied health providers in research careers.”
Areas of research that excite me the most:
“I love outcome measure development and data-driven selection of appropriate tools for clinical research trials. Honestly, I find it so rewarding to see research results elevate the standard of care for our patients with neuromuscular disorders!”
Biggest challenge for research in the next five years:
“Keeping up with the growth in clinical trials! When I first started this career, there were one or two trials going on at any given time. There has been exponential growth year after year, which is fantastic for our neuromuscular community. Our task is to ensure we maintain high-quality, data-driven trial design, conduct and interpretation to make sure we can truly evaluate the safety and efficacy across these trials and compounds.”
Fun fact:
“I am an avid hiker and enjoy visiting national parks with my family.”
